Clicks or Bricks | David Magazine

#VegasStrong

With what the cover and several of the inside pieces of this month’s issue are about, it seems rather frivolous to be writing about virtual shopping, but nonetheless, that’s what this month’s piece, Clicks or Bricks, is about.

I learned something many years ago, when I was a film student at the University of Utah, which serves me well in these situations. Every day, back then, on my way to class, I would pass a window box display full of student designed artificial limbs (U of U had one of the top experimental medical programs in the country at the time). So here I was, an 18-year-old kid who wanted to make movies while other people were making arms and legs. I questioned everything about my life and my purpose at that point until I realized that the people who wold benefit from those limbs would need entertainment while they recovered. The same holds true here, while the events of 10-01 are incredibly tragic, for the survivors, life indeed goes on, and maybe my little stories and bits of information can help, somehow, in some way.

That said, make sure you read the whole issue. Jason Harris’ piece is phenomenal.
